Charlton recorded successive Barclays Premiership wins by beating Norwich 4-0 at The Valley this afternoon, which left the Canaries without a victory in 13 attempts.
Two first-half goals from Jonatan Johansson put the Addicks in control, and although the visitors rallied after the break, any hopes of producing a spirited revival ended 15 minutes from time when substitute Paul Konchesky scored with his first touch.
Jason Euell tapped home a fourth with three minutes to go to complete a miserable afternoon for Norwich, who had to replace England squad goalkeeper Robert Green because of injury during the second half.
Charlton had created the first clear opening in the fifth minute.
Impressive youngster Jerome Thomas worked himself some space on the left of the area and set a teasing centre across goal, which Robert Green had to claw away with Kevin Lisbie closing in.
Norwich spurned a great chance on 11 minutes after Mattias Jonson had fed Leon McKenzie down the right.
He skipped inside the area before floating a delicate chip over for Gary Holt, but the Scotland midfielder could not get any power on his header from 10 yards, and Dean Kiely made a comfortable save.
It proved a costly miss as Charlton took the lead in the 15th minute.
Talal El Karkouri sent a long free-kick deep into the Norwich area.
Hermann Hreidarsson got up above Craig Fleming to flick the ball onto the near post, where Johansson promptly nodded it past Green, into the top corner.
The goal left Norwich flat following their early progress, and it was no surprise when the Addicks doubled their lead after what had been a spell of constant pressure on 21 minutes.
Thomas again made space for himself in the box before picking out Danny Murphy. Green did well to parry the midfielder's powerful header down low to his left, but was then left helpless as Johansson reacted quickest and stabbed the loose ball in.
At the other end, McKenzie chested down Mathias Svensson's flick on into the danger area, but from six yards out, the former Peterborough striker steered the ball wide under pressure from Hreidarsson.
Charlton were close to a third goal after 31 minutes when Johansson's centre from the right whipped across the six-yard line, with Lisbie just unable to connect at the far post.
To their credit, Norwich continued to try and play themselves back into the match, both Jonson and Darren Huckerby seeing plenty of the ball down the flanks.
Damien Francis, however, caused some desperate defending from the visitors just before half-time after giving the ball away in his own penalty area and Simon Charlton needed to make a brave block when charging down Murphy's shot.
Norwich made a change at the break, David Bentley replacing Jonson.
And the visitors upped the tempo following the restart, Adam Drury's left-wing cross just proving too high for both Svensson and McKenzie in the centre.
McKenzie had the ball in the net on the hour, sweeping home from close range after a dash and cross by Huckerby down the left. However, the assistant's flag was swiftly raised as the striker had strayed offside.
England hopeful Green, who had overstretched himself making an early save, was then replaced by Darren Ward for his first Premiership appearance with the Canaries.
Mark Edworthy was cautioned in the 65th minute following a tackle from behind on Lisbie.
From the resulting free-kick, Ward did well to parry the ball clear as it was driven into the box by Murphy.
Bentley's corner from the right was then swept goalwards by fellow substitute Phil Mulryne at the near post.
Kiely could not hold on to the ball and it needed Radostin Kishishev to hack clear from his own goal line.
With 16 minutes to go, Lisbie was replaced by Paul Konchesky.
And with his first touch, the midfielder made it 3-0, which came against the run of play.
Thomas held the ball up well in midfield before laying it off to Kishishev. The Bulgarian fed Young on the right, and his low, sweeping centre ran through to Konchesky, who slid the ball in at the far post.
Norwich saw a late scrappy effort from Huckerby ruled out for offside, before Jason Euell, on for Murphy, tapped home a fourth from Johansson's cross with three minutes to go.
