Cork City 1 Derry City 1
Kevin Doyle scored a stoppage time penalty to keep Cork’s slim hopes of the title alive.
Doyle was pulled down by Derry keeper David Forde on 93 minutes and then cracked home the spot kick. Defeat for Cork would have left Shelbourne going for the title in Longford tomorrow night.
Former Cork midfielder Conor O’Grady looked to have all but ended city’s hopes on 52 minutes when shooting past Michael Devine to give Derry the lead.
Cork almost levelled on 90 minutes, but Billy Woods shot was cleared off the line by Damien Brennan before Doyle struck minutes later.
Shamrock Rovers 0 Bohemians 1
Glen Crowe scored a late, late winner to ruin Roddy Collins' debut as Rovers boss.
Crowe, signed by Collins for Bohs when he was in charge at Dalymount, dived low to head home Bobby Ryan’s 88th minute cross.
Rovers almost snatched an equaliser minutes later but Matt Gregg made a super save to deprive Trevor Molloy.
Waterford United 0 St Patrick’s Athletic 2
Two goals in two minutes all but ended Waterford’s tenuous hopes of qualifying for Europe.
With Don Givens an interested spectator, man-of-the-match Keith Fahey drilled in a 35-yard shot that deceived Blues' keeper Packie Holden for the lead on 61 minutes.
Aidan O’Keeffe added the second goal to kill off Waterford when slipping the ball past Holden after Stephen Quigley had burst forward from right-back to play him in on goal.
