Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho revealed that Didier Drogba would be out of action for several weeks with a groin injury as he ruled the striker, as well as winger Arjen Robben, out of international duty.
Ivory Coast international Drogba came off injured in the first-half of Chelsea's Premiership clash against Liverpool, which they went on to win through a goal by his replacement, Joe Cole.
Mourinho later revealed: "It's a muscular injury and there are no miracles with those. Drogba will be out for two, three or four weeks."
While Drogba is set to miss Chelsea's next league clash against Manchester City on October 16, Mourinho remains confident that strikers Mateja Kezman and Adrian Mutu could recover from injury in time for that game.
Robben, however, remains on the long-term injury list after picking up a serious knee injury during pre-season preparations.
No wonder, therefore, that Mourinho was puzzled by the winger's appearance in the Holland squad just announced for their World Cup qualifiers.
"Almost every country speaks with us regularly and ask about players - England, Germany, Iceland, a lot of them - but we have no contact from Holland," he said.
"Arjen Robben can't run, he can't even kick a ball. He certainly can't train, so how can he go to the national team?"
