Waterford United won’t know their Cup Final opponents until Tuesday night after Drogheda wasted all the chances in this poor second semi-final againt Longford at Flancare Park.
Drogheda coped much better with the slippery conditions and were the better side for much of a very disappointing game.
Gary Cronin brought a good save from Stephen O’Brien before Andy Myler shot a free-kick against the Town keeper’s left-hand post.
Drogheda remained on top into the second half with Barry Molloy firing wide from the only clearcut chance as Town failed to get a shot on target.
