The eircom League’s bottom side Limerick FC recorded just their second league win of the season against Cobh Ramblers at St Colman’s Park last night. A superb from Limerick IT student Keith Hartnett with four minutes left on the clock dismissed the challenge of a surprisingly poor Cobh Ramblers at St Colman’s Park. The win moves the Blues to within three points of Monaghan United.
Meanwhile there was more good news for Limerick FC with news that a takeover of the club may be in the pipeline. The Limerick Leader reports this week that a consortium of up to 10 people has approached officials of the club. The newspaper says that Chairman Michael O’Sullivan has confirmed that talks have taken place.
Next up for Limerick FC is a tough home tie with Bray Wanderers at Pike Rovers SG on Saturday next, August 14, Kick off 6.30pm.
