Shelbourne’s potential Champions League second qualifying round opponents, HNK Hajduk Split, won the Croatian Super Cup last night. Croat champs Hajduk beat cup winners NK Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 at the Poljud stadium. Bosnia-Herzegovnian international Dragan Blatnjak scored the only goal of the game on 49 minutes.
Hajduk await the winners of the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round tie between Shelbourne and Icelandic side KR Reykjavik. The sides drew 2-2 in Iceland on Wednesday and meet again in the return leg on Wednesday night at Tolka Park.
