Aston Villa have signed Carlton Cole on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea. The 20-year-old striker, who spent last season on loan at Charlton, will link up with his new team-mates today.
Chief Executive Bruce Langham told the club's official website, avfc.co.uk: "Carlton Cole is widely regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in the country and it's fair to say there was a lot of interest in him this summer."
