Vieri warns of Larsson threat

Christian Vieri has warned Italy to beware the threat of Henrik Larsson as the Azzurri aim to overcome the loss of Francesco Totti against Sweden. Totti has been banned for three games by UEFA's disciplinary committee for spitting at Denmark midfielder Christian Poulsen during the goalless draw on Monday.

Although the Italians are deciding whether to appeal against the punishment, Vieri knows former Celtic striker Larsson could add insult to injury if he can repeat the goalscoring form he showed in Sweden's 5-0 win over Bulgaria.

He said: "Sweden have a high quality team and Henrik Larsson is a great striker. They are strong in attack and play at high tempo with regards to their defence."
