Porto's Portuguese international Deco appears to be a step closer to following manager Jose Mourinho to Chelsea after insisting that he wants to leave the Champions League holders.
Deco has been linked to Chelsea in recent months and with former Porto boss Mourinho being handed the managerial reigns at Stamford Bridge, he now looks even more likely to join the Blues.
The Brazilian-born midfielder said: "I want other challenges. I feel that, unfortunately, I will not be able to achieve all my ambitions by staying at FC Porto."
"I want to play at a club which will grant me the conditions to be the best in the world. That is my biggest challenge, the big motivation of my career," he added.
Portuguese reports have claimed that Chelsea have already offered Porto €25million for the 26-year-old, with Bayern Munich and Barcelona also believed to be interested in the player.
Deco's revelation could signal the beginning of an exodus from Porto to Chelsea. Earlier this week Porto right back
Paulo Ferreira said he had signed with Stamford Bridge in a deal worth €20 million, while Mourinho is also believed to be keen on signing midfielder Costinha.
