Luis Figo was forced to train apart from his Portugal team mates today because of a slight leg muscle strain. Figo was confined to the gym for the morning session but a Portuguese spokesman said the forward was expected to return for the afternoon work-out at Alcochete on the outskirts of Lisbon.
Portugal were training for the first time since their 4-1 win over Lithuania in their final Euro 2004 warm-up game on Saturday. The hosts get the tournament underway with a Group A match against Greece on June 12 in Porto before playing Russia and Spain.
