Kanchelskis joins Saturn Ramenskoye

Former Manchester United winger Andrei Kanchelskis, dropped by Dynamo Moscow for indiscipline in March, has joined fellow Russian Premier League side Saturn Ramenskoye. The 35-year-old has signed a six-month contract.

He agreed a one-year deal with Dynamo in January but was fired less than two months later after the Moscow club accused him of drinking during the team's training camp in Spain. The former Russian international has not played since he parted company with Saudi Arabia champions Al Hilal in May 2003.

Kanchelskis made his name at Manchester United, spending four seasons at Old Trafford from 1991-95 and helping the club win two English titles and the FA Cup. The much travelled Ukrainian-born winger also played for Everton, Rangers and Italian side Fiorentina as well as Ukrainian clubs Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiev.
