Rock-bottom Dublin City moved to within a point of Derry City, whom they meet next week, with only their second win of the season as they beat high-flying Waterford United 3-1 at Tolka Park this evening.
Jason Colwell and Barry Burke worked the ball into the Blues' area and Gary O'Neill shielded it into the path of Don Tierney who cracked home a superb right-footer for City's opener on 29 minutes. Blues levelled on 72 minutes through Vinny Sullivan, but then had Mark Clifford sent-off a minute later for a second booking.
Vikings regained the lead within two minutes when Philip Hughes headed home O'Neill's cross, before substitute Ray Scully sealed a priceless victory deep into added time with a superb third goal.
