Celtic midfielder Alan Thompson has escaped punishment for slapping Rangers' Fernando Ricksen in the face after Saturday's Old Firm win at Parkhead.
The Dutch firebrand accused the Englishman of a vicious slap after Saturday's dramatic late winner at Parkhead but the English midfielder insisted that it was just a playful tap.
The Scottish Football Association today revealed they would not be taking the matter further. "There won't be any further action and it has not been referred to the video panel," said a SPL spokesman.
