Waterford and Shels share the points

Daryl Murphy rescued a point for Waterford in an exciting 1-1 draw at the top of the eircom League Premier Division tonight at the RSC.

Shels' keeper Steve Williams could only parry a shot from Pat Purcell and Murphy forced the loose ball home for a 52nd minute equaliser.

Shels had taken the lead on the half hour. Wes Hoolahan put over a good cross and Glen Fitzpatrick sent a header looping over Dan Connor.

Blues' Dave Breen hit the bar and Willie Bruton force a great stop late on from Williams as Shels held out for a point.
