Irish international defender Andy O'Brien is expected to return to the Newcastle line-up for their UEFA Cup quarter-final against PSV Eindhoven in Holland on Thursday.
O'Brien has recovered from the groin injury that forced him out of Newcastle's last two games, as well as Ireland's 2-1 friendly international victory over the Czech Republic.
Former Leeds striker Michael Bridges was also in the 22-man party which flew out from Newcastle International Airport this morning after shaking off a shin problem.
However, Lee Bowyer did not travel as the midfielder served the fifth game of his six-match European ban.
