Dundalk secured three valuable points with victory over Limerick FC at Pike Rovers sports ground in Limerick, in the First Division of the eircom League this afternoon.
John Whyte, who was making his return following suspension, had put the Blues ahead on 39 minutes. Limerick looked to be cruising when Dundalk were reduced to ten men on 65 minutes, when Stephen Geoghegan was given his marching orders.
However, Dundalk claimed one back through Brendan Kelly on 75 and then Limerick hopes were dashed when Ciaran Kavanagh netted the winner in the 89th minute.
