Awards double for Arsenal

Arsenal have picked up February's Barclaycard manager of the month and player of the month awards.

The North London club's French manager,  Arsene Wenger, claimed his seventh manager's award while Dutchman Dennis Bergkamp and Brazilian Edu have jointly been named as player of the month.

Arsenal have consolidated their position at the top of the Premiership and are unbeaten in 29 league matches, dating back to last season.

Thierry Henry also received a special award for being the first player to hit 20 Premiership goals this season.

Bergkamp, the FIFA world player of the year in 1993 and 1997, has been named player of the month four times but this is the first time Edu has received the award.

The Brazilian, who moved to Highbury in two years ago, has beat off stiff competition to carve out a place for himself in Arsenal's midfield this season.
