Collins expecting to keep star Saints

St Patrick’s Athletic manager Eamon Collins has denied that any of his stars will have to be sold to help balance the books.

Earlier this month, chairman Andy O’Callaghan announced that the club would have to cut down on expenditure next season.

It's rumoured that Clive Delaney and Tony Bird, among others, are available. But Collins said: “We’ve got a small squad and we want to keep our best players. We have sat down with the PFAI and all the players to discuss wage deferral and it has been very productive. Now we want to prepare for the season ahead.”
