UCD manager Pete Mahon has moved to bolster his squad ahead of the start of the eircom League season in April by bringing in highly-rated young striker Willie Doyle, 19, from Premier Division runners-up Bohemians.

It is the first signing for Mahon who has already lost Alan Cawley to champions Shelbourne and striker Mark Rooney to Drogheda. Winger John Martin may also be poised to join FAI Cup winners Longford Town before the new season kicks off.

Striker Robbie Griffin, joint top scorer for the Belfield club last season with 4 goals, has surprisingly been released along with Sean Finn as the Students prepare for life in the First Division.
