Tottenham have had a bid for Republic of Ireland midfielder Andy Reid rejected by Nottingham Forest. Forest manager Paul Hart confirmed that the bid for 21-year-old Reid, reported to be somewhere between £2.5 and £4million, has been dismissed by Forest.
Hart said: "Tottenham have made us an offer, but it's nowhere near the valuation we have of Andy. It's by no means certain we are going to sell Andy and I'm merely reacting to questions which are put my way.
"I don't know whether Tottenham will be back, but I'm not interested because we're not actively trying to encourage bids, set up an auction or anything like that. The situation is not of our doing, but I am dealing with it," Hart told Forest's official website, www.nottinghamforest.co.uk.
