Celtic hit Hibs for six

Henrik Larsson became Celtic's third-equal highest goalscorer as the Hoops put Hibernian to the sword at Parkhead.

Chris Sutton and John Hartson struck a brace each while Stilian Petrov hit his first domestic goal of the season to earn Celtic a 6-0 win.

But Hibs could point to the dismissal of Derek Riordan in the 42nd minute when Celtic held only a single-goal lead as the turning point of the game .

Larsson should have also had a second as he fired over after Andersson had spilled Sutton's long-range effort. The final whistle could not come quick enough for Hibernian but there was still time for Stilian Petrov to force the ball past the distraught goalkeeper.

Miller almost scored the best goal of the day in the dying minutes as he coolly lobbed the ball over Andersson but could only watch as it brushed the top of the crossbar. Thompson blazed over moments later before Freeland did Hibernian a favour by putting them out of their misery.
