Celtic break Hearts to go to top of SPL

Rampant Celtic extended their lead at the top of the Scottish premier league to four points on Saturday with a 5-0 demolition of Hearts at Parkhead.

Irish midfielder Liam Miller scored twice as Martin O'Neill's side, who led 4-0 at halftime, cruised to their eighth win in nine league games this season.

The win lifted unbeaten Celtic's points tally to 25, four clear of champions Rangers who travel to Motherwell on Sunday.

In Saturday's other games Italian Fabrizio Ravanelli made his Dundee debut in a 1-0 home win over bottom club Partick Thistle. Dundee United won 1-0 at Aberdeen and Livingston triumphed 2-0 at Hibernian.
