Kerr names squad for Swiss mission

Ireland manager Brian Kerr named a 22-man squad today for the Euro 2004 qualifier against Switzerland in Basel on October 11, with Cardiff City's Graham Kavanagh being the most notable inclusion. Kavanagh made his debut against the Czech Republic in Olamuc in 1998 and was on standby for a squad in March 2001 for matches in Cyprus and Andorra, but did not travel on that occassion.

Richard Dunne has been forced to withdraw but Gary Breen has been included along with Robbie Keane, Shay Given, John O'Shea, Lee Carsley and Matt Holland, who return having missed the most recent match against Turkey.
