Euro 2004 qualifying play-offs expected to be unseeded

UEFA officials are expected to decide against seedings for the European Championship qualifier play-offs when they meet in Bratislava, Slovakia, tomorrow.

Eight teams will play off for four places in next summer's finals in Portugal and although UEFA's executive committee can decide to seed the teams in the draw they are expected to maintain the status quo. A decision is expected tomorrow or Thursday.

Depending on results, the Republic of Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales could all be involved in the play-offs.

UEFA's Executive Committee will also decide on the draw procedure for next year's finals.
