Stephen Elliott, the hat-trick hero of the Republic of Irelands 5-1 victory over Poland in Gdansk last week, is included in Don Givens' squad of 20 players for the European 2004 Championship qualifier againist Russia in Waterford on Friday,September 5.
The squad features 3 Eircom league players, Waterford United goalkeeper Daniel O'Connor, Cork City's John O'Flynn and Wesley Houlihan of Shelbourne.
O'Flynn and Hoolahan were the two other goalscorers in the 5-1 win over the Poles.
