William Gallas looks set to remain a Chelsea player for a further four years after signing an extension to his contract. The impressive French defender marked a hectic few days for the London club, which saw them sign both Damien Duff and Wayne Bridge for a combined price of £24 million, by signing the extension to his current contract.
Gallas already had three years remaining on his previous deal but has further committed himself to the club he joined from Marseille two years ago. Gallas has not travelled with the rest of the Chelsea squad to the FA Premiership Asia Cup in Malaysia, having been excused the trip because he played for his country in the Confederations Cup earlier this summer.
