Irish businessmen JP McManus and John Magnier have increased their holding in Manchester United plc to 11.4% of the issued share capital.
They have acquired the additional shares through their company Cubic Expression after it had been reported they were ready to sell their stake in the company.
A statement to the Stock Exchange read: Manchester United PLC has been informed that The Cubic Expression Company Limited has increased its holding in the Company and now holds 29,612,396 ordinary shares representing approximately 11.4 per cent of the issued share capital of the Company.
