Crevoisier leaves Anfield position

French coach Jacques Crevoisier has left Liverpool after two years and will return to France. Crevoisier claims the number of games played in England has stopped him spending enough time back home in France.

Crevoisier, who had been on the French Football Federation's technical staff and worked for UEFA, said: "I will be leaving the club for family reasons. It's been a difficult decision, but the number of games we play has made it difficult for me to spend enough time with my family in France. Now I'm looking forward to a more normal family routine."

Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier added: "We are all sad to see him leave but we understand the reasons."
