Ferguson receives Scottish award

Rangers skipper Barry Ferguson was given a lift following his side's Old Firm defeat when he was named Scotland's Players' Player of the Year. The Scotland international midfielder accepted the award at the Scottish Players' Union annual dinner just hours after Celtic's 2-1 win at Ibrox on Sunday.

Motherwell star James McFadden, who has been linked with a move to Rangers, won the Young Player of the Year award.
