West Ham boss taken to hospital

West Ham manager Glenn Roeder has been admitted to hospital after he collapsed following his side's 1-0 Premiership victory over Middlesbrough.

A spokesman for the club confirmed, "Glenn suddenly collapsed after the game today with chest pains. The doctor was in attendance and he was taken to hospital. He has been having scans and tests and he is in a stable condition and we are all awaiting the results."

Roeder's side are currently embroiled in a relegation battle, but today's win (courtesy of a Trevor Sinclair goal), saw them move to within three points of safety.
