Derry sign Wolves defender

FAI Cup winners Derry City have completed the signing of Northern Ireland international Mark McCrystal from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 18 year old central defender opted for a return to his home town after being told that he had no future at Molineux. Bradford City who were also in the riunning for his signature.

Meanwhile the Candystripes have turned down an offer from Longford Town for the services of Ciaran Martyn. Martyn was signed last season from UCD by City boss Kevin Mahon, and the Brandywell club are keen to hold onto the player.
