Relegation threatened Fulham still have the threat of a transfer embargo hanging over them after it was revealed that no date has been set for their appeal over the transfer of Steve Marlet.
FIFA have already ordered Fulham to pay the outstanding £3.27million they owe Lyon for the transfer of Marlet, and have until the end of March to come up with the cash or face a transfer ban.
However, despite Fulham announcing their intention to appeal the decision, FIFA have confirmed that no date has been set for the appeal to be heard on. The world footballing body will next meet on May 3rd, but Fulham will have to wait until a couple of weeks before that meeting to discover if their appeal will be heard then.
A transfer ban would be disastrous news for the Cottagers, who are not only being dragged into a relegation battle, but are looking for a new manager after they confirmed that they would not extend Jean Tigana's contract at the club.
