Vieira happy to play out career at Highbury

Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira has insisted he is prepared to spend the rest of his career at Highbury. The French international is keen to sign another new contract with the reigning Premiership champions when his current deal expires next year and he is happy to commit for the rest of his playing days.

"I have a contract until 2004 but I want to stay a lot longer. The way I feel now I'd be happy to finish my career here - why not? Everything I am looking for I find here at Arsenal. I have never been happier," he told the News of the World.
