Eamonn Collins has been confirmed as the new manager of St Patrick's Athletic. Collins was unveiled as Pat Dolan's successor this afternoon at a press conference at the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham following Dolan's switch to Cork City last week.

Collins, a native of Inchicore, was assistant to Dolan for the last four seasons and acted as caretaker since his departure last Friday, looking after team affairs and training. He has agreed a two-year contract with the Richmond Park outfit.

Former player Martin Russell has been confirmed as Collins' assistant after bringing to a close his playing days after four years with the club in January. The pair assume control with immediate effect.

Ironically, Collins' first League game sees the Supersaints travel to Turner's Cross to face Dolan and his Cork City side on April 13.
