Mark Kennedy is to see Dr Hans Muller in an attempt to solve his long standing hamstring problem. The Republic of Ireland international will fly out to seek help from Wolfhart - who has also treated the likes of Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard and Darren Anderton - at a convenient break in the club's hectic fixture schedule.
Kennedy turned in a man-of-the-match performance in yesterday's 3-1 victory over Rochdale as Wolves booked a place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. But boss Dave Jones has admitted he may even have to rest Kennedy for certain games to ensure that he does not break down during the battle for a Division One play-off place.
Kennedy will not be able to see Wolfhart for at least three weeks as Wolves now have midweek matches in successive weeks against Ipswich, Watford and Ipswich again.
Jones admitted: “At the moment we have got a slight concern over Mark Kennedy because we are wrapping him up in cotton wool because of the work load coming up that may put a strain on the injury. We might have to think about resting Kennedy from certain games. It's not something that I want to do - but I might have to do that even though he could come in and feel fine. I might have to protect him until there is a window available in the fixtures to be able to do something about it.”
Kennedy had been to see Wolfhart previously about a groin problem. Wolfhart was also responsible for saving the career of top Spanish golfer Jose Maria Olazabal after he had been suffering from chronic feet problems. Other footballers who have benefited from his assistance include Tottenham midfielder Jamie Redknapp and Aston Villa defender Alpay.
