Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has dismissed fresh reports linking him with a move to Liverpool after his side beat Dundee United in the CIS Insurance Cup semi-final. Despite signing a one-year rolling contract with the Glasgow giants the Northern Irishman was faced with more questions over his future immediately after the 3-0 success.
His name has again cropped up with speculation mounting over the Liverpool manager's job following their FA Cup defeat by First Division Crystal Palace. But the Celtic boss dismissed the rumours saying: "I have said it umpteen times before. It's embarrassing and not true. I don't know how many times we have to go through this rigmarole, but I don't know where this has come from. It's untrue and embarrassing and what happens is somebody goes along to Liverpool and they comment which they are quite right to do. This story appeared three weeks ago and it was embarrassing then and it is now. These things drift on and drift on, but it is simply not true."
O'Neill's Celtic side had just beaten the Dundee United to set up an Old Firm CIS Insurance Cup final.
