Charlton have today completed the signing of former Southampton defender Tahar El-Khalej on a short-term contract. The Moroccan international was released by the Saints at the end of last week and Addicks boss Alan Curbishley has signed him until the close of the season.
The 34-year-old joined Southampton from Benfica for £350,000 in the 1999/2000 season, and made 65 appearances for the Saints.
