Former Shamrock Rovers boss Damien Richardson has been installed as the Cork bookmakers' favourite to become the new manager at Turner's Cross.
Liam Murphy yesterday resigned as Cork City's manager along with his assistant Patsy Freyne, though Murphy will stay on as a director of football at the eircom Premier League club.
Also being linked with the vacancy are current Cobh player-manager Dave Hill, former City striker John Caulfield and Bray Wanderers' manager Pat Devlin.
