FA to study 'spitting' incident

The English Football Association will study a video of the incident between Neil Warnock and Stephane Henchoz at the end of Liverpool's Worthington Cup semi-final victory when the Henchoz is alleged to have spat at the Sheffield United manager.

Warnock was furious following the match, which Liverpool won 2-0 after extra time to progress on aggregate, and claimed the Swiss defender spat at him. Liverpool coach Sammy Lee had to restrain the United manager, although Henchoz and Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier have dismissed Warnock's accusations.

The FA will now study a video of the incident to determine whether either man has a case to answer.
