Birmingham midfielder Robbie Savage has given the club a boost by insisting that he has completely recovered from a medial ligament problem. The Welsh international has been playing through the pain barrier to help the Blues through a serious injury crisis but he has now given himself a clean bill of health ahead of Saturday's Premiership clash with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
"I did have this frustrating spell when I wasn't able to really train for a month with the knee problem. I tweaked the ligament when we won up at Sunderland. I was basically just playing games for a while and it was something I was willing to do just as long as I could make a contribution to the cause," he explained.
"I love playing football and happily everything is now feeling fine. I feel 100%, I felt fine against Arsenal on Sunday and now I am back in full training. Touch wood, the problem seems to have gone," he added.
