Carlos Alberto Parreira has been named as the new coach of World Champions Brazil. Parreira will have Mario Zagallo as assistant coach, the pairing which led Brazil to the World Cup in the USA in 1994.
Parreira fills the vacancy left by Luis Felipe Scolari, who stepped down after guiding Brazil to the World Cup in Japan/Korea.
