Liverpool skipper Sami Hyypia is hoping that yesterday's FA Cup victory over Manchester City could provide a kick-start to the Reds' sputtering League campaign.
Until yesterday Liverpool had gone ten games without a victory, however a Danny Murphy penalty was enough to send the Merseysiders into the fourth round draw after the dominated the match.
"Everyone at the club is delighted with this win. We played quite well, especially for the first hour when we dominated the game," said the skipper. "There were not too many clear chances, but we kept passing and kept moving and that is the best way for us to keep improving," he added.
However, there will be no let up for Hyypia and his team-mates as they face Sheffield United in the semi-final of the Worthington Cup on Wednesday, without another a repeat Cup Trebble of their cup treble of 2001 very much still on the cards.
