Shelbourne closed the gap with leaders Bohemians to seven points with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Shamrock Rovers in the eircom Premier League's only game at Richmond Park this afternoon. Mark Roberts scored the crucial goal on 57 minutes to keep the pressure on Bohs with just five games remaining.
In the First Division, Monaghan United and Finn Harps drew 1-1 at Century Homes Park. The home side got off to a great start when Stephen Arkins put them ahead after 6 minutes, but Damian Whitehead equalised within 60 seconds for Harps.
