Terry Venables’ Leeds United side face Bolton Wanderers in desperate need of a win with only one recognised striker fit enough to play. With Michael Bridges' ruptured Achilles tendon ruling him out for the season, Harry Kewell still out with a virus, Mark Viduka a doubt with a shoulder injury and Alan Smith suspended after five bookings this season, Venables has been left with very few options up front.
Robbie Fowler is the only recognised striker remaining - and he has been thrust back into first-team action earlier than hoped after his long lay-off with a hip injury.
Venables said: “I have to change it. I have no alternative but we're having a roll call and leaving it as long as possible to see if anyone is any fitter.”
