Luis Felipe Scolari has been installed as the new manager of Portugal. The Brazilian has signed an 18-month contract which will expire at the end of the European Championships in 2004, which will be held in Portugal.
Scolari, who brought World Cup glory to Brazil in the Far East last summer, has signalled his intent on bringing European glory to Portugal. 'No-one has demanded that I have to win the European Championships, but that is my will,' said the 54-year old.
The former Brazil coach replaces Antonio Oliveira who was sacked following Portugal's dismal displays in the World Cup.
