Everton are appealing against the dubious dismissal of David Unsworth in Saturday`s 3-1 defeat by Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Unsworth was sent off following a tangle with Jesper Gronkjaer, although the Dane protested to referee Eddie Wolstenholme that Undsworth was innocent and has since offered his assistance at an appeal.
Everton have today officially lodged that appeal and the FA will wait for Wolstenholme`s report before considering what action to take.
