Republic of Ireland caretaker manager Don Givens has been hit by eleven withdrawals for Wednesday's international friendly against Greece in Athens. The Under 21s boss called Bohemians striker Glen Crowe, Shelbourne's Wes Houlihan and Coventry pair Richie Partridge and Barry Quinn into his squad.
Wimbledon striker David Connolly today refused to join the squad after being initially left out.
Those who have pulled out citing injury today are Tottenham's Stephen Carr and Robbie Keane, Leeds' Gary Kelly and Ian Harte, Aston Villa's Mark Kinsella, Sunderland's Kevin Kilbane, Birmingham's Clinton Morrison, Blackburn's Damien Duff, Arsenal's Graham Barrett and Newcastle's Andy O'Brien.
Mark Kennedy had already announced that he would not be available after his recent return from a long-term injury.
