Injury has forced winger Mark Kennedy to withdraw from the Republic of Ireland squad for next week’s friendly match away to Greece.
Kennedy picked up an injury in Wolves’ Nationwide League Division One match against Brighton on Monday night and is likely to be the first of many withdrawals from caretaker manager Don Givens’ squad as club managers try to protect their players’ fitness.
Arsenal’s Graham Barrett, on loan at Brighton, also had to leave the field with an injury in that match on Monday night, but he says he will be fit enough to travel with the rest of the Irish party.
