Warhurst and Bergsson out for a month

Sam Allardyce has suffered a double injury blow to his bid to save Bolton from relegation from the Premiership. Veteran defender Gudni Bergsson and midfielder Paul Warhurst are both expected to be sidelined for at least at month because of calf and groin injuries.

Bolton forced a 1-1 draw against fellow strugglers Sunderland last night at the Reebok Stadium. With crucial matches coming up against newly-promoted Birmingham and West Brom, the new injuries may hit Bolton hard.

“Paul has a groin injury and will probably be out for four weeks. It looks the same for Gudni with his torn calf muscle,” said Allardyce.
