The FAI say they remain confident that Sunday's Carlsberg FAI Cup final between Derry City and Shamrock Rovers can go ahead as planned. There was some doubt raised about staging the game at Tolka Park after Sunday's league game between Rovers and Bohemians left the pitch badly cut up.
However, groundstaff are working to restore the surface and with better weather forecast for later in the week, the expectation is that the game will go ahead as scheduled.
Rovers full back Keith Doyle is virtually certain to miss the final because of injury, while Greg Costello and Richie Byrne, who went off injured in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Bohemians, are expected to be fit.
